Hello and welcome to friends of next play, our premium membership that gives you access to a bunch more resources—a startup discovery platform, invites to virtual events, a directory of potential collaborators, and much more detailed below—to help you on your journey. (If you’re not currently in friends of next play, you can join here).
Some quick background: My name is Ben Lang—I helped start next play after spending nearly five years as an early employee at Notion because I’m passionate about helping people figure out what’s next. The purpose of our premium membership (friends of next play) is to give you extra resources (and to hopefully build a tight-knit community of curious people). So far, people have really liked it.
Making the most of friends of next play is not particularly straightforward because over time we’ve added a whole bunch of things that could potentially add a lot of value for you. So I wrote this quick guide to help you sort through it all.
Slack
The friends of next play Slack group is a private space for you to connect with like-minded peers and share ideas and feedback. The Slack is focused on sharing advice, resources, and connections for people thinking about their next play. It’s an amazing place to find support - we have heard from many that the next play community was instrumental in helping meet co-founders, future colleagues, mentors, and friends.
