launching builders, chief of staff role, ex-growth at Ramp

This is next play’s newsletter, where we share under-the-radar opportunities to help you figure out what’s next in your journey.

Based on requests, we are launching something we are calling “next play builders” — a free, efficient way to meet people to work with.

How it works:

• You fill out this short form (before June 12th, 2024). It should take you less than five minutes to share your contact information, explain who you are, and list the types of projects you are interested in working on.

• We then organize the submissions and share the link with everyone who filled out the form.

Our hope with next play builders is to help spark collaborations that lead to many many new projects. We would like to make an updated list every few months. Let’s see what happens!

Opportunities

Early team:

• Eoghan, founder of Intercom, is hiring a founding CEO for an incubated new type of tech media company that he describes as “very ambitious and needing a leader to drive it forward.” You can learn more about the opportunity here.

• Billy from Prospect is hiring a founding front-end engineer (in-person in NYC). Prospect is building a platform to help startup employees find jobs and manage their equity compensation. To get fast-tracked, send hi@nextplay.so an email.

• Nick Abouzeid (ex growth lead at Ramp) from Rivet is looking to bring on a founding engineer to help them scale their full service corporate & personal tax prep business. • Milan from Integral is hiring a Chief of Staff and an Operations Lead. They're building brain implants with unprecedented capabilities to treat severe neurological and psychiatric disorders. • Suno is building a future where anyone can make great music. They are one of the fastest growing generative AI companies. They are hiring for many roles (just raised $100m+) — including a head of influencers and partnerships. You can learn more and apply here.

• Raphael (founder of Cron) from the Notion Calendar team is hiring a “founding product manager” to work directly with him on scaling the product. • Scribe helps millions of users automatically creates step-by-step guides for any process, putting an end to hours spent taking screenshots and running training sessions. • Han from Mintlify is hiring a chief of staff. They are building the “modern standard for developer documentation.” You can read more here.

• Pocus’s mission is to help unlock data for go-to-market teams. They have customers like Miro, Asana, Canva, and DigitalOcean. They are hiring a head of customer success. You can learn more and apply here.

• Siqi from Runway is a next-generation business planning platform that replaces the spreadsheets used to run businesses with a modern product. They are hiring an account executive. You can apply here.

• Groombuggy is the nation’s premier mobile dog grooming company. They are growing quickly and now hiring a head of strategy and analytics. You can apply here.

• Pano is a building a solution for wildfire early detection. They have raised over $40m and are hiring a head of strategic sourcing. You can apply here.

• Zach from Hadrian is looking for a business operations associate — a recent grad or someone with 1-2 years experience who is excited about joining a fast growing startup, diving deep into data, and working across numerous stakeholders to help them leverage insights to improve day to day operations.
